PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES

A Counseling relationship is a professional relationship in which a licensed mental health professional helps the person to explore and resolve difficult life challenges. As you become more self-aware and accepting of who you are, you will be able to live more fully and authentically and are capable of finding joy and contentment in your life!

​Dr. Clack has a particular interest in treating women and their mental health distress secondary to trauma, interpersonal/intrapersonal conflict, chronic physical health concerns, and mood disturbances, such as depression, Bipolar depression, and anxiety disorders such as Panic Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) . She also provides faith-based Christian counseling.

ADULT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Dr. Clack is passionate about discussing mental health and wellness. She has a broad range of knowledge and expertise of mental health concerns that merges emotional and physical wellness together thus creating an integrative treatment model of care. When evaluating her clients, Dr. Clack makes careful and thoughtful assessments of one’s presenting needs in physical health, emotional, social, spiritual, and familial/generational linkages to past family trauma. Dr. Clack is committed to helping you feel important, no matter the circumstances life has thrown your way. It is her deepest desire that when you cross each other’s path that you walk away feeling understood, heard, and validated.

​Adults often seek psychotherapy for issues such as relationship stress, workplace trauma, race-related and discrimination problems, depression, anxiety, psychosis, parenting, and grief and loss. This list is not inclusive of all the reasons a person’ seeks treatment. Sometime, we just need someone to listen.

ADOLESCENT SERVICES

The mental wellness of children and adolescents is often not considered as serious as adults. In fact, many people think that in therapy children can be treated like small adults; such is not the case. There are unique developmental changes that occur in childhood that can have a significant impact on the child’s emotional wellness and stability in daily functioning. With effective, time sensitive support and appropriate assessment and intervention, the negative effects of mental health problems can be significantly lessoned. For children and adolescents, the symptoms of mental illness and developmental and brain-based disorders can manifest in many different pathways. Children and adolescents often presents in treatment for issue such as depression, anxiety, grief/loss, changes in family structure, identity crisis, social anxiety, conflict with parents and siblings, academic stress, as well as medical diagnoses that directly affect their self-esteem and emotional stability.

​Therapeutic interventions with youth include family therapy, consultation with hospitals and school settings, consult with pediatricians, and psychiatrists.
