Choosing the right therapist or supervisor is an important decision, and we’re here to make that process easier for you. Our free 15-minute consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your needs, and explore how Clack Associates can best support you. 


During the consultation, we’ll talk about your goals, answer any questions you may have, and guide you toward the right services for your specific needs. Whether you’re seeking individual therapy, family therapy, or clinical supervision, this consultation is the perfect first step

  • Do you accept health insurance?
    Yes, we accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Horizon and NJ Direct, Amerihealth, Magellan and Independence Blue Cross. We DO NOT accept United Healthcare, Cigna, Medicaid, Medicare, or Tricare.
  • What can I expect from therapy?
    Therapy offers a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It involves regular sessions where you work through challenges with your therapist’s support.
  • How long does therapy take?
    The duration varies depending on your goals, but many clients experience progress within a few months. Some may require short-term therapy, while others benefit from long-term support.
  • What are the different types of therapy offered?
    This can include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based therapy, etc. Our practice offers an integrative and holistic care model. We treat the whole person, mind, body, soul and spirit.
  • Do you offer online therapy (teletherapy)?
    Yes, many therapists now offer virtual sessions through secure platforms, making therapy accessible from the comfort of your home. We are solely telehealth/virtual and do not have the option for in-person appointments.
  • What is your availability?
    Sessions are available based upon therapist availability and each of our therapists offer a flexible schedule. We also offer evening/weekend appointments for clients with busy schedules.
  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
    Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. At this time, there is a $75.00 late cancellation fee and No Show fee without a medical emergency.
  • What are your fees for therapy?
    Fees vary depending on the length and type of session and the health insurance plan you have
  • What if I don’t have insurance?
    We offer private pay rates. Please inquire upon initiating contact with our practice.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, HSA/FSA accounts.
  • Is therapy confidential?
    Yes, all information shared in therapy is confidential. However, there are exceptions, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
  • What are the limits of confidentiality?
    We are required to break confidentiality in situations involving child abuse, elder abuse, or imminent risk of serious harm.
  • Do you work with couples or families?
    At this time we do not provide couples or marital counseling.
  • Do you offer therapy for children or adolescents?
    No, we do not provide care for children or youth under age 17
  • What should I expect during my first session?
    The first session is an opportunity for you to share your story, discuss your goals for therapy, and ask any questions. We'll also review policies and set expectations.
  • Do I need to prepare for my first session?
    You don't need to prepare anything specific, but it's helpful to think about your goals for therapy and any concerns you'd like to discuss.
